girlfriend (released on December 1st, 2023) is Ani’s debut solo album, recorded with her backing band in June 2023 in Cleveland, MN, with Real-Phonic Records. All 10 tracks are the product of Ani’s songwriting during her first two years at college and explore the uncertainty of entering her twenties, love gained, love lost, and the beauty of living in the moment. Since she’s more committed to the songwriting and storytelling than sticking to a specific genre, girlfriend spans from Northwoods folk to pop rock.
